Support Systems Ltd was founded by Simon Heap, a specialist who spent years working directly with elderly and disabled individuals in social care settings, before transitioning into home adaptation design.
That journey — from hands-on care to design consultancy — gives Simon a perspective that few suppliers can match. He understands what it's actually like to live with reduced mobility or cognitive challenges, because he's worked with hundreds of people navigating those realities every day.

Founder & Director
- Simon's career began in social care, supporting elderly and disabled individuals on the front line. He later moved into home adaptation design, working with clients to assess and design modifications that would enable them to remain safely at home.
It was this dual experience — understanding both the care needs and the built environment challenges — that led Simon to establish Support Systems Ltd in 2026.
Today, Simon personally conducts site assessments, oversees all installations and quality inspections, and maintains direct relationships with every client. Support Systems Ltd isn't a faceless supply chain — it's Simon's name on every project, and his reputation behind every installation.
Outside of work, Simon remains deeply involved in the care sector, maintaining connections with professionals, advocacy groups and families navigating similar challenges.
